I\'m a SHOE person and those strap abominations kill me every time. It\'s the second worst evil thing on the feet nipping at CROCS. Being in a cool resort still requires a bit of effort on your part. If you want to rock that checked shirt, change the washed out blue jeans to crisp white linen pants or jeans/well cut khaki pants then pair it with - white driving loafers or a more elegant leather MANDALS...

Change the light denim for raw denim and sandals for leather sandals. Also, change what you are wearing on your right arm...some kind of bracelet?

I like the shirt. You should hem the jeans. If you need to wear sandals at the resort, get some light brown leather flip flops, huaraches, or something a bit more modern (don\'t buy anything that would be appropriate for river rafting).

If you\'re someplace warm and it\'s a casual occasion during the day, I would say just simple men\'s flip-flops in white or black, otherwise stay with some white tennis shoes like these: http://bit.ly/cxi9GT
