I actually like the fact that the shoes \"rough-up\" the look a bit ... but if they are black (the color may not be showing up well) I\'d say go with brown boots instead.

from what i can tell the dress is pretty cute! maybe change the shoes to something lighter though, a brown strappy sandal or something

Dress is gorgeous, shoes could be better but aren\'t bad. Try some bangles and some beads around your neck to make it cute!

I\'ve seen this combination out west, but in most of the country, the dress and boots don\'t go together. Boots were originally designed for riding horses. You\'d never ride a horse in a short gingham dress. I\'d pair each with more appropriate wear.
