Cute dress on you, but I don\'t like the accessories. I think this dress requires delicate jewelry, simple lightweight gold bangles, and a higher healed shoe to make this outfit look less family appropriate and more date like

Love this dress, looks great. I agree with the others, try a lighter shoe, perhaps a flesh-toned sandal that would almost disappear at the bottom. Or, you could do a metallic strappy sandal. For the bracelet, try something a little lighter in both color and size.

Don\'t forget to bring a sweater/coat! Black would be a good coat color choice. This dress is nice, it\'s pretty but doesn\'t seem like you\'re trying too hard.

It all depends on how formal is the dinner date - if it\'s a 4 Michelin Star restaurant then you have to amp it up for sure. But a nice cozy dinner with a nice guy - this can work. Love the structure and the pocket detail of this dress - it is strapless but with a carefree attitude. Now, you need color and not black to make this special. Black seems to be a default but surely you can bridge over to...

I agree with Rebecca Brittany. Delicate jewelery would add a more feminine feel. Also, a beige or light pink tone hell would make you look taller. I might also add a black belt around the waist to make it look a little more contemporary

Nice dress but the look isn\'t working for a formal event. The outfit as is would be great for a night out with friends. The jewelry needs to be less bulking and more sparkling. I dont like the pockets at all for formal but they will do. The shoes need to be a higher heel and a much lighter color but not white. You\'ve got great color bones draw attention to that.
