these are the two choices i have for my first day of freshman year. my mom thinks the first outfit will be too hot. but i really dont know which to choose. please help.

If you had a belt around your waist in #1 and took the sweater off, it would look better! Also, try some heels or flats. Dark jeans would also look better! Good Luck =)

I think its the jeans that are wrong here. The first top is slightly frumpy. If you have to pick from these two, I would def go with # 2 but I would try to either find a different pair of jeans or you could probably fold them into cute capris with the sandals. Give it a try and see :)

choice one top with a long loose skirt would give you a line at the waist and be cool and flattering. good luck at school.

I like #2 - it\'s more eyecatching and unique. I made all of my friends the first week - what you wear attracts people to you, makes them more likely to talk to you.
Solids are more \"passive\" in appearance...Go with the unique look!

I think the second look is a much younger, cooler look! It\'s a cute first day of school look. Your first look makes you look like you are frumpy and 40 years old. Definitely go for the second, youthful look!

I don\'t like the jeans at all. They seem too tapered. The shirt in #1 is too long. I like the sweater type thing in #1 but the shirt under needs to be lighter, maybe with a multi-strand long necklace. I don\'t like the sandals with the jeans, maybe a flat ballet type shoe. I like shirt in #2, maybe with a longer pair of shorts & the sandals.

Trust your mom - if it\'s hot at all, you\'re going to be sweating in no. 1. No 2 is great, but like everyone else, I\'d go with darker jeans. Maybe you need to get these hemmed to fit?
