Girlfriend no, the dress is looks like it came from Jessica McClintock \'98 and the hair is straight prom. Go for a lightweight summer dress with a pashimina over your shoulders for the evening.

Love the stripes but i am not crazy about the spaghetti straps. Also the hair should be styled differently, more like a sleek updo to match the sleekness of the dress.

Looks fantastic. Slimming, and great with the hair (I\'m assuming that\'s you? Not you?) Not a huge fan of the necklace, but otherwise it\'s gorgeous and perfect for a beachfront wedding!

I can\'t tell if those are ping stripes, or white ones. If they\'re pink it\'s good, but black and white CAN be taboo at weddings, as it can signify death. Either way, looks good.

For a beach wedding - this can work. I wish that we could see the whole dress and see what length it is. Hope it stops above or below the knee. Just have a nice colored shawl if you do get cold as the night progresses. Hope you wear your hair in a much relaxed way as the beach wind might make it into a disastrous rat\'s nest.

definitely a beautiful dress, and i think appropriate for a beach wedding because it\'s not too revealing up top but it leaves enough exposed area that you won\'t get too hot. but how long is the dress?

I\'m getting suspicious about this pic and agree with Debbie D. that this can look like a Bridal photo spread - so Jessica McClintock. The hair is too done up and we can\'t see the entire dress. Hope this is not a photo taken from an online catalog as I suspect some posters do it.

Love it. Excellent job pairing the simple necklace and bracelet with this dress! And the vertical lines are very slimming, and not overwhelming because of the band around the middle. Having your hair back shows off your excellent shoulders and collarbone. Job well done!

Thanks for all the constructive comments. The dress is actually just until under the knee. The stripes are slightly gold color, but not too gold. I wore this dress to a wedding and just wondered if I should be wearing it again. And yes... this is really me... no catalog picture :)
