To continue: you\'re going to be in front of a classroom; you need to look your best -- not dressy but interesting and well-put-together. This is just boring, and the heels 1) are too high and 2) don\'t go w. the outfit. Wear lower heels or boots and trendier clothes. Keep looking or ask a friend.

I just don\'t like this for first day. Maybe I\'m more of a traditionalist, but I\'d suggest a dress on day #1. I know the activities of a teacher on a day to day basis doesn\'t make wearing a dress functional, but teachers have become so casual, I\'ve even seen them in flip-flops.

I agree with those who say brighten up for teaching, make it more interesting, and choose more comfortable shoes. Adding a wide metallic belt would perk it up. And a big, brighter bag. http://www.polyvore.com/welcome_to_polyvore/set?id=22141860

This outfit is a little boring. Pair it with a fitted blazer or something like that to add more flair and to make it look a little more professional.

For where I\'m from you look great for teaching! I guess people in my schools didn\'t ever care to dress up. I think you look perfect for teaching :-)

I suggest flats or a lower heel. Just to be more modest as a teacher
