Okay...no popped collar and no chest hair. If you want to look a little hip, find a decent button-up and wear a tee underneath it with jeans. You could even wear sneakers with it. Just...cover that chest hair.

First Impressions are crucial - I think the popped up collar and this casual shirt is not going to pass muster for company owners. Even if the industry is casual - you need to make a sharp impression with structure and elegance. The plaid says weekend bbq and so is the deep unbuttoned front. Why not go for a dark tailored jacket, cool graphic tee or tasteful patterned shirt in a micro-check or one...

shirt\'s ok. collar up is a little too 80\'s for my taste. and the unbuttoned-down-to-there is too 70\'s for my taste. unless the owners dress like this, i\'d try for a classier shirt.

The shirt seems fine. If you\'re trying to impress the owners of this company you may want to button it up a bit more.

You gotta cover that chest hair! Also, if you are gonna rock a popped collar, make sure to starch it so one side doesn\'t fall down again like in the picture.

Plaid is generally informal, unless its a really subtle or single color plaid... definitely drop the collar and button the shirt up some more. But ideal would be something a little dressier, if you want to still keep it fun and casual, try a button down collar...

Never pop your collar unless
A) your standing in front of Abercrombie trying to draw in the tweens
or..
B) your auditioning for a Happy Days remake

if your trying to make an impression id change the shirt to something a bit more classy. No jacket is good but def button up.

I pretty much agree with eveyone else, no to the unbuttoned/popped collar thing. find something more grown up, that shirt looks like its from AE or hollister, not the best choice for a business function.

I think the plaid is fine, but like others, I would button it and I would add a blazer as well.

def not popped collar- that is so middle school and a couple of years ago and if you are trying to impress people then look sharp!

A good look for hanging out at the park and eating hot dogs.
A BAD look for a work related function where company execs will see you.

Button up and don\'t pop the collar. And it\'ll be fine. Wear with dark jeans so you don\'t look too country.
